Honors Academy at Legacy High School is an open enrollment public charter school in the state of Texas. The program is fully accredited and is recognized by the Texas Education Agency.

 

Campus Description

Legacy High School is uniquely located on the town square in Kaufman, Texas. Legacy High School is easily accessible to the smaller communities surrounding it.

 

Campus Mission Statement

The mission of Honors Academy at Legacy High School is to equip students in grades 8 &endash; 12 desiring to participate in an accelerate program with the skills necessary to live productive lives. We strive to work with and encourage all types of students to increase their ability to read, write, speak, and use information with clarity and precision. We teach students the skills needed to participate in our society and their personal lives.

Education Program Description

The Honors Academy at Legacy High School demands high academic standards, which is supported with the help of critically acclaimed and nationally recognized curriculum components. Most of the required course work uses advanced educational software programs.

Courses offered at Legacy High School are similar to those that are customarily provided in traditional public schools, including all core subjects and various electives. Legacy offers a more flexible schedule than those provided at traditional public schools, where four (4) hour sessions with formal instruction are provided in the morning and afternoon.

The Honors Academy at Legacy High School students are encouraged by the staff who has fully devoted themselves to each student's needs both academically and personally. Such personalized attention not only increases self-esteem, but also develops invaluable student-teacher relationships.
