Nutrition, Health & Safety Programs... Mission StatementNutrition To provide all students a nutritionally balanced breakfast and lunch. Assist students within Federal Financial Guidelines to receive breakfasts and lunches free or at reduced costs.
Health To assure that all students are current on immunizations. To provide parents with information on current heath issues among young children and teens.
Safety To provide a safe hazard free environment for students.
GoalsNutrition To assure that al children are equipped nutritionally to increase their ability to focus on education rather than on hunger.
Health To teach children and parents the importance of immunizations, of cleanliness, as well as insuring that all children are provided a Vision, Hearing and Scoliosis screening. Alerting parents of possible problems, and therefore helping stop future deterioration of health.
Safety To assure that students are properly trained in evacuation procedures when safety hazards arise, such as fire, tornadoes, hurricanes, or bomb threats. To develop a committee of staff, parents, and students to work on School Violence and Gang Prevention.
Vision To provide all children with an equal opportunity to learn to the best of their capabilities without financial or health issues being an obstacle.
