Honors Academy Services... Career and Technology Education Provide a coherent sequence of Career and Technology courses that have been designed to provide a pathway toward a student's particular career goal. Provide a quality career guidance and counseling program for all students in pre-kindergarten through Grade 12. Plan, develop, and implement partnerships that support efforts to help students develop the basic knowledge and skills necessary for managing the dual roles of family member and wage earner, gaining entry-level employment, and continuing the students education or training at the postsecondary level.
Special Education Provide free appropriate public education for children with disabilities in accordance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations by implementing a child identification program, procedural safeguards, multifactored evaluation, an individualized education program, a least restrictive environment, and confidentiality of data.
Student Nutrition, Health, and Safety Provide a child nutrition program that enables low income students to receive lunches and breakfasts at a free or reduced rate. Provide all students with eyes, ears, and scoliosis screenings as well as taking care of all other health issues and training. Create a healthy and safe environment that is asbestos free. Provide on-site inspections, emergency exit plans, fire and tornado drills, and emergency manuals. Insure that the required posters are posted around each |
