Academy Career & Technology Programs... Mission Statement To provide all students with opportunities to develop and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to read, write, compute, solve problems, think critically, apply technology, and communicate across all subject areas through a rigorous career and technology education program.
Goals To provide each student with the opportunities to master the basic skills and knowledge for success in post-secondary life. The Career and Technology Education Department staff provides career assessment and career counseling so that each student can make appropriate career decisions and choices. The staff will also provide coursework and resources that will assist the student in setting goals that will lead to entry-level employment in a high-skill, high-wage job or to continuing the student's education at the postsecondary level.
Vision To provide high school youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to become confident, active, productive and contributing members of society.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF NONDISCRIMINATION IN CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAMS August 10, 2000 Honors Academy offers career and technology education programs in Austin, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Irving, Kaufman, and Killeen. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and available class space.
